Founder & Principal

In 50 Words Or Less: I come from a family of teachers, so client education is a priority for me.  In fact, I hope our clients consider me as a teacher.  My life is balanced with hard work, hard play and family time- for me there is no better place than the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Credentials: I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner; a National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) Registered Advisor; member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Personal Financial Planning (PFP) Section.

Experience: I founded Woodstone Financial, LLC in June, 2003, after a career as a teacher and geologist. As Principal of the firm, I specialize in educating my clients and working with them as they pursue the achievement of their most important financial and personal goals.  Advanced planning strategies are often utilized to design solutions for income tax and estate planning as well as risk management and investments.

Education: I hold both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Georgia.  In addition, I completed the CFP Board-Registered Program at Kaplan University.  As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) Registered Advisor, I regularly complete at least 30 hours of additional continuing education courses annually.

Money has never made man happy, nor will it, there is nothing in its nature to produce happiness.  The more of it one has the more one wants.” – Benjamin Franklin

Experience: I joined Woodstone Financial in 2011. I directly assist clients with financial planning, retirement planning, and investment management.
